Nixa, Missouri is giving out 1,000 yard flags to honor local veterans and the families of those veterans, according to the Nixa, Missouri government's Facebook Page.

In honor of local veterans and their families, the City of Nixa is giving away 1,000 yard flags. The new program, called “Community Stars & Stripes” encourages people in Nixa to “Flag your yard, thank our veterans.”
Residents inside Nixa city limits may visit The X Center, now through November 8th to collect up to 2 American yard flags per address. We encourage citizens to decorate their yards patriotically following Halloween through Veterans Day on November 11th.

-> Nov. 11 – 9am @ The X Center: Hero Run 5K-Nixa, MO fundraiser and family-friendly community event. The event includes a 5k race, Fun Run, and FREE kid’s zone. The funds raised benefit local children of active and retired military.
