The man whose body was discovered Thursday in Hollister was well known in the community.
The updated release is below from the Hollister Police Department:
Thanks to the due diligence of the Investigating Officer in this case, we were able to make contact with the family of the deceased who reside out of state. We are able to divulge that the deceased's name was Kevin Clint Lee, aka "Tex".
We understand that the community is saddened by this news, as "Tex" was well liked in the Taney County community. We also know our citizens are worried about Tex's dog, Rosie.
We have been unable to verify the whereabouts of Rosie. If anyone has verified information on Rosie's location, please contact the Hollister Police Department.
