Western Taney County Firefighters fight a fire at Big Cedar Lodge's Wilderness Club over the weekend.
According to a post on the district's Facebook Page, six stations were dispatched to the fire just before Noon on Sunday with fire showing from one of the buildings. According to the report, the main fire was quickly brought under control with crews remaining on the scene for two and a half hours extinguishing hot spots and salvaging people's belongings. No injuries were reported.
The report indicates that the fire started near a chimney. The report also states that a phone compartment problem caused 9-1-1 Service to not operate properly delaying the dispatching of fire crews.
