NIXA, Mo. — Staff at Nixa’s Gentle Care Animal Hospital say they’re doing well just days after receiving multiple threats last week, which were intended for a different Gentle Care Animal Hospital.
“Generally, by Friday afternoon, most people had figured out we were not involved with the Oklahoma clinic. However, we are still receiving messages on our social media that are incorrect and hateful. The staff is doing well at this time,” Dr. Kelly Whitchurch said in a statement to Ozarks First.
On September 10, conservative activist Charlie Kirk was killed while speaking at a university in Utah.
On September 11, the phone at Gentle Care Animal Hospital began ringing off the hook.
