A road worker flagging for a Construction Zone was hit by a car in Cape Fair Monday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 11:00 am when 24-year-old Cody Drennan was hit at the intersection of Highways 76 and 173 by a vehicle driven by 74-year-old Vera Coker of Cape Fair.
Drennan was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment of his serious injuries.
