The Winter Storm that has been anticipated all week finally arrives in the Lakes Region tonight.
According to the National Weather Service, snow from Winter Storm Fern will begin arriving in the west parts of the Lakes Region after 9:00 with snow expected to arrive in the Branson and Harrison area around Midnight. Current projections indicate an 8-12 inch accumulation possible with some sleet also possible with the second wave of precipitation coming through Saturday afternoon.
Major travel impacts are expected as the snow begins to fall overnight. Winter Storm Warnings and Cold Advisories and Warnings will go into effect for the region today and will stay in effect through most of the weekend.
