Labor Day Weekend continues to bring a double dose of excitement to the Ozarks as the Wings of Pride Air Show and PBR Thunder Days draw thousands of visitors to the Branson area for a celebration of aviation, entertainment, and western sports.
The Wings of Pride Air Show is being held at Branson Airport in Hollister through Monday, featuring a star-studded lineup led by the world-famous U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. Organizers say the event celebrates America's aviation heritage while providing an unforgettable experience for families and aviation enthusiasts alike.
Today, gates and parking open at 9 a.m., with aerial performances scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. and continue throughout the afternoon. The air show also features appearances by the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team and the USAF C-17 Globemaster III East Coast Demo Team.
For those attending the air show, organizers remind guests that parking passes must be purchased in advance and will not be available at the gate. Visitors are also encouraged to arrive early and review event guidelines before traveling to the airport.
Meanwhile, just south of Branson, Thunder Ridge Nature Arena is hosting the final day of the annual PBR Thunder Days. The competition showcases teams from the Professional Bull Riders league, including the hometown Missouri Thunder, as riders compete in one of the sport's premier events.
Motorist are reminded of increased traffic in the region in addition to different traffic patterns on Highway 65 to aid the flow of traffic.
