Much of the Lakes Region is under a Wind Advisory for today.
Statements from the area National Weather Service Offices say that sustained winds will be between 15 and 30 MPH with possible wind gusts up to 45 MPH in some regions.
While Branson and Taney County is not officially in the Wind Advisory Area, wind gusts are still forecast to be in the 30 MPH range today.
Area counties under the Wind Advisory include Barry Christian, and Stone in Missouri along with Boone, Carroll, Madison, Newton, and Searcy Counties in Arkansas.
The strong winds will eventually bring in colder temperatures. After a top temperature of around 70 degrees this afternoon, the temperature will drop into the 20’s overnight with Wednesday’s high only in the 40’s.
