A subsidiary of White River Valley Electric Cooperative continues to add High Speed Internet Service around the region.
According to recent releases, White River Connect is now accepting customers for the service in the Taneyville as well as Gainesville areas.
The releases indicate the project, designed to get high speed internet to rural areas of Christian, Douglas, Ozark, Stone, and Taney Counties got underway in the summer of 2023 and is expected to take four years to complete.
Projects already completed in addition to the recently announced sites according to the releases include areas of Branson, Bear Creek, Sweden, Rockaway, Gretna, and Goodhope, and Compton Ridge. More markets are expected to be added later in 2025.
