A warm-up will begin in the area today after a cool start to the morning.
Winds, which were out of the north on Thursday, will be shifting through the day to the west and then to the southwest by Saturday bringing in warmer air. High Temperatures today will be in the 70s, then into the 80s over the weekend and through Monday.
While the recent rainfall has temporarily reduced the fire risk in the region, that risk will elevate again with the southwest winds and low humidity over the weekend.
A frontal system will approach the region Monday night and the National Weather Service says severe storms could develop Monday night into Tuesday.
