As the Forsyth School District did in its search for a new Superintendent of Schools, the district moves up an assistant to take a Principal's position for next school year.
According to a recent release from the school posted on 'The Panther Zone" Facebook page, Jim Voliva will take over as Elementary Principal for the 2026-27 School Year. Voliva will take over for Liz Turner, who is retiring at the end of the current school year.
Voliva has been Assistant Elementary Principal for five years and has been with the school district for 25 years. Voliva has worked in various capacities as a teacher and coach during those years.
Last year, the school district announced that longtime assistant Superintendent Grant Boyer would take over for the retiring Jeff Mingus when he retires from the top spot in June.
