A vehicle catches fire after leaving the roadway in Hollister Wednesday afternoon.
According to the report posted by the Western Taney County Fire Protection District, units were dispatched to the Highway 65/Business 65 interchange just after 2:00 pm. When crews arrived on the scene, they found the vehicle up against a rock bluff and on fire at the right turn lane to get onto Highway 65 southbound. According to the release, the female driver had been pulled from the vehicle and was being treated by Taney County Ambulance Paramedics. Her name and condition have not been released.
Firefighters extinguish the car fire as well as the grass fire on the nearby bluff as Hollister Police was on scene investigating the crash. The lane was reopened to traffic at around 3:15 according to the post.
