The National Weather Service has extended the Winter Weather Advisory for the Springfield area into the Missouri Lakes Region until Noon.
A line of wet snow and sleet is moving through the region. Some light sleet accumulations are possible along with some now accumulations of one to two inches. Winds out of the northwest will gust as high as 40 mph during the passage of the system.
Temperatures will stay above freezing in most of the region though some slick spots on roads are possible according to the NWS.
