Victims of a traffic crash east of Green Forest last week included a group of counselors from Kanakuk Camps.
According to an Ozarks First report, five staff members from Kanakuk were in the vehicle hit by an SUV on Highway 62 on Wednesday morning. The report goes on to detail how people stopped on the road to try to help the victims of the crash.
One of the staff members, 20-year-old Abigail Cox from Indiana, died in the crash as did the couple in the other vehicle, Michael and Amy Weiss of Cotter according to the Arkansas State Police Report.
Kanakuk officials tell Ozarks First the other four staff members in the crash remained hospitalized for treatment of their injuries.
