Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol works a pair of traffic crashes resulting in serious injuries.
The first occurs Wednesday afternoon on Highway 265 north of Galena when a 16-year-old male from Galena was driving a car southbound when it ran off the roadway, impacted a ditch, and struck a tree. The driver and two passengers in the vehicle, both from Aurora, were taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment of their injuries.
The second accident takes place on late Thursday afternoon along Highway 76 east of Kirbyville when a passenger on a motorcycle attempted to leave the vehicle before completely coming to a stop. The passenger, a 51-year-old woman from Oklahoma, sustained serious injuries and was taken by Taney County Ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
