Wed road conditions contribute to a two-vehicle crash in Barry County that kills two people and seriously injures two others.
According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred south of Purdy on Highway 37 when a car driven by a 65-year-old woman from Shell Knob hydroplaned on the wet roadway and crossed the center line and struck another vehicle on its side. The Shell Knob woman and a passenger in her vehicle, a 41-year-old woman from Exeter, were pronounced dead at scene while the two occupants of the other vehicle, a woman from Indiana and a woman from Columbia, were transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield in serious condition.
