An airplane attempting to take off in Carroll County is involved in an accident.
The release below is from the Carroll County Sheriff's Office:
On May 25th, 2026, at approximately 6:16PM, Carroll County Central Dispatch received a report of an aviation accident that occurred as the airplane was attempting to take off from the Trigger Gap Airfield in rural Berryville, Arkansas.
Deputies from the Carroll County Sheriff's Office, along with emergency personnel from the following agencies responded.

Berryville Fire Department
Green Forest Fire Department
Oak Grove Fire Department
Southern Paramedic Service
Survival Flight-Eureka Springs
Two patients were transported to local hospitals, one by Survival Flight, one by ground ambulance. There is no update on their conditions at this time.
The Federal Aviation Administration has begun an investigation into the cause of the accident, and further questions may be referred to the FAA.
