The new person in charge at College of the Ozarks continues the transition into that role.
Dr. Brad Johnson took over the role as President of the college on June 1st succeeding the retiring Dr. Jerry Davis. Valorie Coleman, Public Relations Director at C of O, during a recent interview on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program says that Dr. Johnson and his wife Laura made rounds on the first day including spending some time helping in the school's cafeteria. Coleman says Dr. Johnson will be spending time during the summer getting to all areas of the campus and meeting the public, including at the Honor America event scheduled on campus for Sunday June 26. Honor America will be open to the pubic again this year after two years as a campus only event due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Coleman and student worker Esther Rea also discuss other on campus events including Camp Lookout, which restarted this year for Stone and Taney County kids ages 8-12. Coleman says there are still a few openings for the camp for the final session the week of June 27.
