A pair of traffic crashes over the last two days have killed one and injured several others.
A man from Fort Smith dies in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 412 and State Highway 45 in Madison County Tuesday. The report from the Arkansas State Police says the man was attempting to cross 412 when he failed to yield to oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle. Beleelie died in the crash while a passenger in his vehicle and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to Washington Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Meanwhile, a Lakes Region resident is injured in a single vehicle crash in Polk County, Missouri Wednesday. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 56-year-old man from Omaha drove sustained moderate injuries when he drove his vehicle off the road striking a fence and tree. He was taken to Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar for treatment.
