While the Lakes Region was mostly spared significant damage due to Monday night’s storms, one area of northern Arkansas saw damage from tornados.
According to the National Weather Service office in Tulsa, four tornados were confirmed in Washington County including one near Fayetteville, which destroyed several buildings near Drake Field. That storm eventually moved to the east and did prompt Tornado Warnings for a time in Carroll and Madison Counties and later in Boone and Marion Counties, though no tornado activity was reported as those storms weakened as they moved through the area.
Numerous agencies in both the Arkansas and Missouri Lakes Region reported some limbs and tree branches down after the storms moved through, but no major damage was reported.
