The timing was right for the Lakes Region this go-around as showers and thunderstorms moved through the region overnight and early this morning.
There was a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for a time south of Branson through areas of Table Rock and Bull Shoals Lakes along with Lake Taneycomo, but no damage has been reported. A Flood Advisory does remain in effect for Taney and Ozark Counties until 9:00 am for the potential of minor flooding in low water crossings and streams.
After the rain, hot and humid conditions return with another Heat Advisory in effect for today and also the return of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast for this evening.
