Three Water Accidents in Lakes Region, One Fatal

The Missouri State Highway Patrol works three accidents on area waterways Saturday.

One was a fatality incident on the North Fork of the White River near Dora in Ozark County. According to the report filed by Troop G of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 75-year-old St. Charles man suffered a medical emergency while kayaking. The emergency caused the kayak to overturn and the man to lose consciousness. Emergency personnel rendered first aid but the man was eventually pronounced dead at the scene. 

Meanwhile, Troop D worked a pair of mishaps involving tubing accidents on Table Rock Lake in Stone County. One occurred around Little Cow Creek north of Blue Eye and the other at Point 11 South of Cape Fair. One person at each incident, an 11-year-old female juvenile from St. Louis, and a 17-year-old male juvenile from Buffalo, suffered moderate injuries and were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
