BRANSON, Mo. — A luxury hotel in Branson is being accused of harming children in a lawsuit.
The Grand Plaza Hotel in Branson is being sued by three families from Jefferson County, Missouri for negligent use of pool chemicals after their children suffered major injuries while swimming in the hotel pool in 2021.
The suit claims an employee “shocked” the hotel pool by pouring a commercial-grade pool cleaner in the water twice without warning while guests were still in the pool. The complaint says the pool cleaner had labels that read, “No one can be in the pool when chemicals are being added directly to the pool,” and bore warnings of skin burns, irreversible eye damage, and other fatal risks.
