Ted Martin Returns to Western Taney County Fire

After retiring on April 3 after 30 years with the Branson Fire Department including 12 years as Fire Chief, Ted Martin returns to where his firefighting career began. 

The Western Taney County Fire Protection District announces that Martin will serve as the district's new Division Chief of Fire Prevention. According to the release, Martin will oversee fire and life safety inspections, public education programs, and proactive efforts in risk prevention. 

Martin was Public Information Officer for WTCFPD until joining the Branson Fire Department in 1996.

We’re proud to announce the appointment of Ted Martin as our new Division Chief of Fire Prevention.
Chief Martin brings decades of fire service experience, including leadership in fire prevention, public education, and community risk reduction. Many in our district already know his impact through his career with Branson Fire Rescue and his longstanding commitment to improving safety in our community.

In this role, he will oversee fire and life safety inspections, public education programs, and proactive efforts aimed at reducing risk and preventing emergencies before they happen. His leadership will strengthen our mission of protecting lives and property through prevention and preparedness.
Chief Martin’s journey began right here as a volunteer firefighter with our district—an experience that helped shape his career in the fire service. His story is a strong reminder of the impact our volunteers make every day.
