The transition of the 90-year-old library from a community to public library will come with a name change.
According to a press release, the Taneyhills Library will officially become the Library Center of the Ozarks on January 2nd of next year. The name change will take place during a ceremony at the library on Fourth Street in Branson at 10:00 that morning. The Taneyhills Library staff and board members will ceremoniously pass books to the Taney County Library Board and staff.
The name change is another step of the transition of the library from a community to public library after the passage of the property tax initiative in August.
