The Taney County Health Department releases information on six more COVID-19 deaths in the county.
The deaths, just recently confirmed to be from the county by the Taney County Coroner and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, were of four individuals in the 70's with one each in their 80's and 90's.
“We are saddened to see the number of deaths associated with COVID-19 continue to increase and remind community members that prevention and vaccination are our best lines of defense,” states Lisa Marshall, TCHD Director in a press release. “We continue to offer the COVID-19 vaccine to the public and encourage anyone wanting to get it, or any community organizations, businesses, or churches interested in hosting a vaccine clinic at their location to reach out to our department.”
The health department reminds residents that maintaining COVID-19 Safety Protocols including social distancing and masking are among the ways of helping contain the virus.
