Structure Fire Near Stormy Point

Units from several fire departments battle a blaze early this morning near Stormy Point. 

According to a release from the Southern Stone County Fire Protection District, their units along with personnel from the Branson Fire Department and Western Taney County Fire Protection District responded to the single-story structure fire. According to the release, the fire was quickly knocked down but extensive damage was done to the structure. One person was taken to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Mercy EMS and the Stone County Sheriff's Office also assisted at the scene according to the release.
