Storms Skirt the Region Monday, More Possible Today

The Labor Day Weekend Wraps-Up with some stormy weather for some parts of the region.

Storms scattered through the region prompted the National Weather Service to issue some advisories and even a few Severe Thunderstorm Warnings as the line made its way through Monday afternoon.

The were some damage reports to the weather service including a tree down in the Isabella area of Ozark County while high winds knocked down power lines and knocked out power to around 1,000 customers in northeast Springfield for a time.

A couple of rounds of storms will move through the region today with Heat Index Readings expected to climb over 100 prior to a cold front moving through that will knock temperatures back down into the 80s on Wednesday.
