Storm Update: Mostly Rain, Slight Chance of Winter Mix

Weather forecasters around the region continue to monitor the storm that will bring a mixture of precipitation over the weekend and much colder temperatures next week. 

Steve Runnels of the National Weather Service in Springfield says during an interview on KRZK’s “Ozarks Now” program, says that most of the Lakes Region will see rain with the potential of a round of freezing drizzle or light snow before the precipitation ends Sunday night into Monday morning. Temperatures are expected to be at or above freezing as most of the precipitation moves through the region according to Runnels. 

Temperatures will plummet beginning Sunday night with lows over much of the week to be in the teens and highs only in the 20s.
