Efforts to help those affected by the storms that moved through the region Memorial Day Weekend enter their second week.
The information released from various organizations includes the Boone County Office of Emergency Management is encouraging any residents having issues with livestock due to the storm contact Boone County Central Dispatch at 870-741-9100 and they will assist in making contact with the proper state agency. Drop off and pick-up locations for supplies for tornado victims continue at the Office of Boone County Emergency Management in Harrison as well as Fire Stations #1 in Harmon and Valley Springs. Camp Jack has also opened their Food Pantry and Clothing Store to tornado victims. The Valley Springs School District is providing several services including shower and laundry facilities along with several other organizations.
In Marion County, the Red Cross continues to operate a Disaster Relief Center at the Marion County Fairgrounds in Summit. The Food Bank of North Central Arkansas is doing a food distribution today from 2-4 pm and earlier at the Pyatt Fire Department from 10am to Noon.
