The Stone County Sheriff's Office warns residents of scam calls that some residents have received over the last week.
According to a release from the department, they have received reports from citizens that they have received calls from individual claiming to be Stone County Deputies.
The release reminds residents that the department will never call and ask for a bond or fine payment over the phone.
Individuals who receives such calls are encouraged to contact the Stone County Sheriff's Office at 417-357-6116 to verify the information.
