A man from Cape Fair is facing charges after a shooting incident over this past weekend.
According to court documents, 20-year-old Chazz Harris is accused of shooting a person while handling a firearm inside a residence. The probable cause affidavit states that Harris left the residence shortly after that and then fled the area. The rifle was eventually found as was Harris and a neighboring residence. It is believed that alcohol and drugs were involved in the incident.
Harris is facing charges of with second-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. He is being held without bail in the Stone County Jail with is next court appearance scheduled for October 7.
