A Stone County inmate is charged with first-degree assault, according to a Facebook post by the Stone County Sheriff’s Office.

Inmate Assault Under Investigation; Suspect Charged with First-Degree Assault
On November 12, 2025, an altercation occurred inside the Stone County Jail resulting in life-threatening injuries to a 22-year-old male inmate. Stone County deputies and jail staff responded immediately, and the victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Following a comprehensive investigation conducted by Stone County Detectives, inmate Seth R. Blevins has been charged with Assault in the First Degree. Bond has been denied. Blevins was already in custody at the Stone County Jail on charges of Burglary in the Second Degree and Property Damage in the First Degree.
This incident remains under active investigation. No further details will be released at this time.
