The Missouri Department of Labor is raising awareness about the upcoming increase in the minimum wage.
Starting Jan. 1, 2026, the state’s minimum wage will increase to $15 an hour thanks to passage of HB 567 from the current minimum of $13.75 an hour. Governor Kehoe signed the bill into law in July 2025.
Employers who have tipped employees will be required to pay 50% of the minimum wage plus any amount necessary to make sure all employees make at least $15 an hour.
