The City of Branson will host another seasonal event downtown this year.
Heather Herman from the Branson Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce/CVB made a presentation at Tuesday's Branson Board of Aldermen Meeting announcing "The Spring Fling" which will take place May 15-16. Herman said the first event will have a patriotic feel in conjunction with America's 250th Celebration. Several people will be doing historic reenactments both days with businesses staying open later with special promotions. Herman said it will have a similar layout to the Fall Event that started last year.
Herman also outlined some of the expected results and how they will be measured. Some of the results include adding another annual event to the recently redesigned downtown and the continued involvement of the businesses downtown. Several business owners attended the meeting in support of the event.
The Chamber requested and the board approved an appropriation of $57,000 to help fund the event.
The video of the discussion plus the entire meeting can be found on the City of Branson's YouTube Channel.
