Arkansas State Lawmakers are returning to Little Rock next week for a special session called by Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
According to the proclamation posted on the governor's website, the items to be considered include lowering of tax bracket rates, an increase from $420 to $500 for the homestead tax credit, and to finalize the budget for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
The budget for the commission failed to get approval in the regular session due to some members having issues with the budget item allowing the raising of the maximum salary for the agency's director. The commission is the only department that does not have an approved budget for the new fiscal year that begins on July 1.
The proclamation for the special session can be found on the Governor's Website.
