Smoke from Canadian Wildfires Possible in the Ozarks

The haze from the recent Canadian Wildfires that has been impacted the northeastern United States may be having some impact in the Lakes Region. 

According to Ozarks First Meteorologist Tom Schmidt, the recent cold front that moved through the region shifted the winds to the north allowing some of the smoke from the fires that started in British Columbia to impact the Ozarks Skies. Schmidt says that most of the smoke will stay in the upper atmosphere so breathing impacts will be limited, but hazy conditions could be noticed in the sky.

As a High Pressure System reestablishes itself in the Ozarks, the winds will shift back from the south moving the smoke back to the north.
