BRANSON, Mo. – The 174th Helicopter Battalion Reunion took place in Branson on Friday.
The 174th, known as the Sharks, was the only battalion authorized to have sharks with big teeth painted on their helicopters; those are the ones you’ve probably seen in movies.
While they usually meet in Florida every year, this year Branson, Missouri was the chosen destination for the group.
“It’s quite an experience to go back and meet guys you were in combat with,” said Ron Connor with the 174th. “And it’s quite an emotional rollercoaster that you go through when you make the decision to come back.”
