The Stone County Sheriff's Office releases information on its participation in a nationwide effort combatting human trafficking.
The release from the sheriff's office is below:
On Thursday, October 16th, 2025, The Stone County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with OUR Rescue and with the assistance of the Branson Police Department, COMET Drug Task Force, RISE Coalition, and Pathways Project of the Ozarks, participated in Operation “Coast to Coast”, a nationwide effort to combat human trafficking and rescue victims of human trafficking. Local Investigators contacted 56 potential victims, identified and met with four victims who received advocacy services, seized illicit drugs, and identified two potential traffickers.
