It’s been several years since a continued string of Winter Weather has forced multiple days of school closures, but 2022-23 Winter has provided several days of classes being cancelled or switched to remote learning.
After the cold snap and snow that forced several schools to start their Christmas Breaks early in December, the last two weeks has seen multiple rounds of winter weather. Many schools were out several days last week due to heavy snow not only creating road issues but major power outages, then this week saw rounds of freezing rain and sleet on Monday and Tuesday that still has many secondary roads and parking lots very slick causing most schools to not be in session on site all week. p
After temperatures hover around 40 today, a warm-up will begin Saturday with temperatures in the 50s throughout the weekend and possibly reaching 60 by Monday.
