It is Election Day in Arkansas with voters getting their last chance to go to the polls after a week of early voting.
Boone County is one of the only areas in the region with contested races with both a spot on the Harrison and Bergman School Boards being contested. In the Harrison School District, the contested race is for one of the At-Large Seats with incumbent Kelley McLaughlin being challenged by Michael Bardwell while Regina Chism and Don Mahler are running for a seat in the Bergman School District.
There are a few other contested races in the region including in Madison and Baxter Counties while voters in Cotter and Mountain Home also have a ballot issue.
Polls are open until 7:30 tonight with Boone County Voting taking place at the Election Center in Harrison and at Bergman City Hall.
