Another Law Enforcement Agency is warning of continuing attempts from scammers to collect personal information.
This warning comes from the Missouri State Highway Patrol in a social media post last week. The patrol says that phone scams are continuing to be sent to cellular devices via text.
Like the warning on phone scans released last week from the Harrison Police Department, these text scams warn of legal issues the person receiving the texts are facing and that action is required to prevent further action. They often include a link to make payment for a fine which will be used to steal personal and/or financial information.
