Heavy rain that hit the Lakes Region Saturday morning dumped up to three inches of rain in some areas and caused some traffic issues.
Two sections of Highway 76, one east of Branson near Kirbyville and the other southwest of Cassville, were closed Saturday morning due to flooding. Another area near Kirbyville, around Highways J and JJ near Mincy, was also closed for a time. According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, one highway in Barry County, Highway C north of Cassville, remains closed this morning.
Another area in Barry County experienced flooding Saturday as officials report to the National Weather Service that the lower campground of Roaring River State Park flooded during Saturday’ rain.
More rain is in the forecast for the region tonight into Tuesday.
