Last week, Sarah Sanders collected two important endorsements on her run for the Republican Nomination for Arkansas Governor.
After State Attorney General Leslie Rutledge dropped out of the race and endorsed Sanders campaign, current Republican Governor Asa Hutchinson also endorsed Sanders' run for the state's top spot.
Making the announcement on Friday, Hutchinson told the Associated Press that he has known her most of her life and says the state will be in good hands with her leadership. Hutchinson, completing his second term as Governor next year, cannot run again due to term limitations.
Current Lt. Governor Tim Griffin, who earlier had dropped out of the race, has also endorsed Sanders bid for Governor as has U. S. Senators Tom Cotton and John Boozman.
Sanders is the only Republican running for the nomination with several Democrats going for that party's nomination to run for Governor in 2022.
