The trail of Rebecca Ruud, accused of killing her daughter Savannah Leckie in 2017, has ended with closing arguments scheduled for today.
While Ruud did not take the stand in her defense, the prosecution did present witnesses that testified that while Ruud was in jailed, she admitted to drugging her daughter while the defense maintains Leckie killed herself then Ruud burned her body on their farm in Ozark County.
Ruud married her boyfriend, Robert Pete, Jr., the day Leckie’s remains were found by authorities.
