Red Flag Warning for Lakes Region

The last in a string of days of 70 degree weather also brings a significant fire risk to the Lakes Region.

Red Flag Warnings have been posted in both the Arkansas and Missouri Ozarks for today. A statement released by the National Weather Service indicates that a Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are possible. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

Forecasters say humidity could be below 20% today with winds gusting above 30 MPH today. 

A front will bring in cooler air on Friday then another round of cooler air could be accompanied by some rain on Saturday.
