The National Weather Service in both southern Missouri and northern Arkansas has issued Red Flag Warnings for today due to hazardous fire conditions.
Forecasters say the combined low humidity and expected high winds today along with dry conditions could lead to any outdoor fire to get out of control quickly. Many counties in Arkansas are already under Burn Bans issued by County Judges prohibiting burning due to the conditions.
A Fire Weather Watch has already been issued for Friday with these conditions expected to continue.
