An annual event that celebrates people in recovery and informs others of the help available is this weekend.
The 5th Annual Recovery Jamboree is this Saturday at the Sanctuary of Hope Church on Been Creek Road in Branson from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The event will feature information about recovery resources plus ways of connecting with those organizations.
Marietta Hagan, Project Coordinator for the Center for Health Improvement for Cox Health, talked about the founding of the event by Stone County Recovery Center Director Tammy McLaughlin and the goal of uniting the resources for those needing recovery. Hagan also said information about naloxone, a product that can help individuals overdosing with temporary relief, will be part of the jamboree.
