While the Lakes Region was hit with primarily scattered showers and thunderstorms over the Holiday Weekend, areas to the north saw substantial rainfall.
The National Weather Service reports four to five inches of rain around Springfield and eastern Greene County on Sunday prompting several Flash Flood Warnings. While some storms briefly turned severe, no major storm damage was reported.
Showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast this week with the strongest chance for severe weather being on Tuesday.
Temperatures will be seasonable, around the 90-degree mark during the week.
