The last week has seen several rounds of storms move through with the remnants of Tropical Storm Beryl the latest weather incident to impact outdoor activities.
A feature story by Ozarks First highlights one area campground and their readiness for changes in the weather. Allison Haider with Great Escapes Campground in Forsyth tells Ozarks First that having an emergency plan before you ever take the trip is important, especially with pop-up storms like the one that hit the Lakes Region last week. Haider added that most campgrounds also have a plan to aid campers when weather impacts the site.
The feature also includes an interview with Forsyth Fire Chief Nathan Bower, who adds that making sure you have a way to get updated weather information is also important.
The complete story can be found on the Ozarks First Website.
